Project Overview

Panacea Building Systems has been appointed by McGoff Group Facilities Services to deliver the internal fit-out works for the redevelopment of Apley Grange in Harrogate. The scheme will provide a 42-bed nursing and dementia care home for the Society of the Holy Child Jesus, designed specifically to support the needs of the nuns within the order. The project involves the refurbishment and extension of existing buildings while maintaining a live, occupied environment, requiring careful phasing and sensitive delivery. 

Scope of Works

Panacea Building Systems package includes a comprehensive range of internal systems and finishes across the development:

  • Drylining partition systems

  • MF (metal frame) ceiling systems

  • Dot & Dab wall linings

  • Rigitone acoustic ceiling installations

  • Plaster skim finishes throughout

Works are being delivered across three buildings within the site:

  • ‘Hilda’ – New build kitchen and dining facilities

  • ‘Margaret’ – New six-bedroom extension

  • ‘Cornelia’ – New build lounge and snug 

  • Upon completion, Apley Grange will provide a high-quality, purpose-built nursing and dementia care facility tailored to the needs of the Society of the Holy Child Jesus. The combination of refurbishment and new build elements will create a modern, comfortable and supportive living environment. Panacea Building Systems involvement demonstrates its capability to deliver complex, phased projects within live environments, maintaining both quality and programme certainty.
