Project Overview

Barchester Health Care commissioned the development of a new 75-bed care home in Fareham, Hampshire. The project required a rapid, large-scale structural solution capable of delivering spacious communal areas and complex architectural features within an accelerated programme. 

Scope of Works

Panacea Building Systems was responsible for delivering the full 4-storey structural frame along with associated internal drylining works. Key project features included:  

  • Panacea Building Systems bespoke Metframe system across four storeys

  • Metal joisted roof cassettes for rapid installation

  • External balconies integrated into the frame

  • Large open-plan lounge areas requiring wide-span structural design

  • Specialist internal partitions and ceiling systems installed to tested performance standards

  • Completion of the superstructure within a fast-paced 16-week programme 

Outcome

  • The completed 75-bed care home provides Barchester Health Care with a spacious, modern facility incorporating advanced construction systems and high-performance internal environments. The successful delivery of a complex 4- storey structure within such a compressed programme highlights Panacea Building Systems capability to manage challenging schedules and technically demanding projects.
