Project Overview

Panacea Building Systems was appointed to deliver the superstructure and internal fit-out elements for a new 68- bed care home for Barchester Health Care in Maidstone, Kent. Delivered in collaboration with McGoff Construction Limited, the project required a fast and efficient build methodology to support a challenging programme and a restricted site footprint. 

Scope of Works

Panacea Building Systems comprehensive scope included: 

  • Metframe LGSF structural solution for the full 3-storey building

  • Completion of the superstructure in a 14-week programme

  • Timber trussed roof system installed as part of the overall frame solution

  • Offsite fabrication of all bespoke LGSF panels at Panacea Building Systems Altrincham facility

  • Coordinated, preplanned delivery schedule tailored to limited on-site storage

  • Full drylining, suspended ceilings and plastering package for all internal areas 

The combined structural and internal packages provided enhanced programme continuity and improved coordination across the project. 

Outcome

  • The 68-bed care home was delivered to a high standard using modern methods of construction, overcoming logistical constraints through meticulous planning and offsite manufacturing. The project demonstrates Panacea Building Systems proven ability to deliver both superstructure and internal systems efficiently, particularly on sites with restricted access and tight deadlines.
