Project Overview

Panacea Building Systems, in collaboration with their sister company McGoff Group Facilities Services, successfully delivered a rapid refurbishment project at the Premier Inn Haydock Park (M6/J23). This scheme formed part of Whitbread PLC’s ongoing “Accelerating Growth Plan,” aimed at upgrading and enhancing its hotel portfolio across the UK. The project focused on modernising a 2-storey hotel, improving both guest-facing areas and operational facilities within a highly compressed timeframe. 

Scope of Works

Panacea Building Systems delivered a comprehensive internal and external package, including:

  • Full strip-out and refurbishment works in coordination with the main contractor, McGoff Group Facilities Services

  • Formation of new bedrooms using structural Metsec SFS studs

  • Installation of SFS suspended ceiling joists

  • Specialist drylining systems

  • Suspended ceiling installations

  • Plaster finishes throughout

  • External rendering works

The refurbishment covered:

  • 15 guest bedrooms

  • Restaurant and food & beverage areas

  • Back-of-house utility and service spaces   

  • The refurbished Premier Inn at Haydock Park now offers an upgraded, modern environment for guests, with improved functionality across all areas of the hotel. The project demonstrates Panacea Building Systems ability to deliver high-quality refurbishment works within tight timeframes, particularly in the hospitality sector.
